PAINTS & OTHER ALLIED INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT UN-P102C (In Can Preservative-BIOCIDE)

Biocides were and are added to avoid spoilage. Biocides are also used in the raw materials (e.g. binders) that paints are made of. Paint manufacturers are aware of the risks that biocides bare. Most paint manufacturers, however, see a role for biocides in an effective, sustainable in- can preservation strategy. Water-based varnishes, paints and adhesives require conservation with in-can preservatives, both, for their raw materials —polymer dispersions — and the end products in order to warrant the necessary shelf life. Our preservatives help fight against a wide spectrum of microbes, including bacteria and fungi (including both yeast and mould), to help prevent in-can contamination to deliver an excellent finished product that’s designed to last. Our wide array of in-can preservatives offer cost-effective, long-term protection for a full range industrial applications. UN-P102C is a Nanotechnology based ‘IN-CAN biocide’ for use in decorative paints. The product is specifically developed for the complete microbiological protection of water based paints against microbial spoilage in the wet state. UN-P102C is described chemically as a combination of metal nano-particles, isothiazolinone etc. It has been observed that the product inhibits the growth of a series of micro-organisms, which grow in water based emulsion paints.
